BRISTOL PLYMOUTH MENTOR PROGRAM
Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School has an exciting new opportunity to become involved with their students!!! We are recruiting professionals to become Mentors to our sophomore students in our 18 technical areas. The program is designed to help with career exploration.
The goals of the program are:
-Enhance a student's awareness of the many career opportunities that are available
-Familiarize students with the soft skills that are required in the workforce
-Reinforce the importance of school responsibilities such as attendance, effort, etc.
-Students to have the opportunity to build a relationship with their mentor and discuss their futures
The program will be begin January and end in June. We ask that mentors and mentees meet 6-8 times. Meetings can include a tour of your employment, tours of local businesses, local colleges and trade schools. Some tours will be arranged by the school, while other tours will be schedule through the mentor and mentee. Mentors are encouraged to share their own hobbies, goals, and work ethics with their mentee.
If you can not be a mentor, but would like to offer a tour of your business please let us know.
